Investigators claim IED found in train couldn’t explode due to faulty timer – Pakistan

KARACHI: Investigators on Saturday launched a probe into the restoration of an improvised explosive gadget (IED) from a train at Cantonment Railway Station on Friday night time.

The IED, fitted with a timer and over two-kg explosives, was hid in a faculty bag. It was defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS).

DIG-South Syed Asad Raza mentioned that each one elements of the IED in addition to a clearance certificates and samples of the explosive materials despatched for a lab evaluation by the BDS to the railway police.
